Research indicates that 80% of jobs in the next decade will require STEAM skills and when STEAM is implemented effectively, students are more engaged with the curriculum and their own learning. This programme delivers lessons that have a balance between engagement and rigour, encourages critical thinking and makes connections with real world issues.

STEAM and Big Ideas work together in that students use the skills they have learnt in Big Ideas and apply them to STEAM.

STEAM brings Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math together. It allows students to make connections with concepts and put subject specific content into practice and apply this to many different situations.
Within the programme, studentís often focus on real world problems and over a term, create innovative solutions and apply these to real situations.
